Alessandro Provaggi

Head of the DHC+ Technology Platform

Biography

Alessandro Provaggi leads the DHC+ Technology Platform at Euroheat & Power since March 2015. Alessandro’s main duties involve the general and strategic management of the DHC+ activities and its team. He is responsible for developing and coordinating DHC+ members’ relations and continuous engagement. In relation to EU projects, he plans and monitors tasks and supports the daily work of the rest of team. He represents DHC+ towards key stakeholders, provides strategy and content in external communications and supervises the research policy agenda.

Passionate about getting to a 100% sustainable energy model as soon as possible, Alessandro has more than 10 years of experience in EU policy, project management and communications, mostly in energy. Before joining Euroheat & Power, he worked for EUREC as the Coordinator of the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling, and previously for the European Commission (EuropeAid) and the European Parliament. He is a former Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and he studied at Bologna University, Madrid Complutense, Solvay Brussels School and Boston University.
