Robin Steinbrecher

Robin Steinbrecher is a former Intel principal engineer with more than thirty years of experience at Intel and IBM in computer thermal design, silicon power and thermal management, and data center cooling integration.  He has designed and developed cooling systems for air- and liquid-cooling IT equipment while ensuring industry readiness for future compute technologies.

He is the past chair and research chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9, and has co-authored many of the ASHRAE Datacom series of publications including ‘Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments’, ‘Power Trends and Cooling Applications’ and ‘IT Equipment Design Impact on Data Center Solutions’.
