Network and application performance management company Data Edge has won the Global Partner of the Year award by Calnex, the telecommunications and data centre synchronisation and timing measurement solutions.
Data Edge is the first Irish company to win the Calnex Global Partner of the Year award and was selected from the company’s 68 worldwide partners.
Headquartered in Bray, in Co Wicklow, Data Edge leverages Calnex products and services to provide network synchronisation testing and network emulation solutions.
It helps to improve the performance and accuracy of cellular networks, such as 5G, as well as enterprise and government transport networks.
Data Edge has been providing timing infrastructure, lab and field test equipment to the country’s telecommunications companies and equipment manufacturers for over 30 years.
Paul Phelan, CEO of Data Edge, said it was delighted to receive the prestigious award from its long term supplier/partner Calnex, as it moves forward with its ambition to be at the leading edge of timing and synchronisation infrastructure and measurement systems.
“At Data Edge, we have been working tirelessly to provide essential infrastructure to many of Ireland’s largest technology and government organisations. We are making significant investments in our platforms and people as we seek to create the first centre of excellence for timing and synchronisation in Ireland,” Mr Phelan added.
Tommy Cooke, CEO of Calnex, said the Calnex partner network is critical to the company’s success.
“We sell in 68 countries around the world and rely on our partner network to provide local support. We are delighted to recognise Data Edge for the effective support they provide our customers and the way they keep the Calnex team connected and aware of discussions with customers in their region,” he added.
