Andrew McEvitt

Client Manager IT Cooling EMEA

Mitsubishi Electric

Biography

Andrew has worked in the HVAC industry for over 25 years, in various companies specialising in the manufacture, application, and maintenance of cooling systems for many types of applications, such as Microelectronic, Pharmaceutical and IT Cooling.

Andrews early career included the application of leading brands of close control equipment, particularly DX Close Control equipment.

In 2007 he had a leading role in the delivery of cooling systems for one of the first Hyperscale Datacentres here in Ireland (and Europe). It was one of the earliest uses at scale of custom designed Air Handling Units with free cooling, adiabatic cooling, and emergency DX cooling.

Andrew was part of a team that set the foundation of how hyperscale datacentres are most efficiently cooled by taking advantage of Northern Europes cool climate for free cooling.
