Luc Bossaert

CEO

Ethernetics

Biography

Luc Bossaert (58) is a serial entrepreneur and CEO of Ethernetics (“Decarbonise Data Centers”).  The mission of Ethernetics is to reduce electricity consumption of Data Centers in a very innovative and complementary way (to other energy efficiency initiatives). It does this at the level of the electricity socket, by means of its AI-driven proprietary PDU, which measures, monitors and adapts electricity usage in real-time. Results of 10+% direct savings on electricity costs are achieved (and more if you count indirect savings in less cooling).  Furthermore, Ethernetics also provides a platform to deliver energy savings services based on usage data (per socket and server). This to enable detailed CO2 usage and savings reporting.  Luc is Belgian by birth, but European by heart.  Economist & entrepreneur, married to Katrien and father of Lucas and Anouck.  Location: Ghent (Belgium).
